After the college I visited New York in 1991 with one of my best friend; we spent there a couple of weeks in a YWCA hostel in Manhattan. We do enjoy the city looking around, eating outlandish food, visiting museums, traveling in the all neighborhoods.
At that time I still was into dinosaurs so the American Natural History Museum in New York city was another lifetime dream after the one I had in London years before.
We entered into New Jersey hitchhiking and we were also too young so no one gave us something to drink or permit us to enter in Pubs because we were just eighteen and the legal age in New York is twentyone.
This really sucks, but anyway a good man managing an Irish Pub on Madison Avenue did not refuse us a couple of good Guinness and so it became immediately our night spot.
This city has really unique images and few places can transmit such sensation, whatever exists and whatever you can think about is in New York.
I had with me an old camera, a Yashica, and it did good photos before someone stolen to me.
It is just impossible even imagine the photographic potential of New York, every corner can hide the perfect picture.
These images and pictures of New York reflect the first impression that everyone has arriving in the city, an incredible skyline mixed with different ethnicity, kind of foods, different cultures all blended together. I wish to visit New York one more time, now that I’m into photography, with a serious camera, to fully discover all the photos hiding over there.
