Claviere, geology and photos
Claviere is a small municipality along the Alps located 80 km west of Turin, on the border with France.
Basically a well equipped and organized skiing village.
I have a good friend of mine in Claviere and quite often we are going out together visiting places of geological interest because we were companions at University during my studies.
One of the most interesting geological tracks near Claviere is the path going to “Colletto Verde”.
Just on top is preserved an ancient and completed sequence of the so called ‘Alpine Green Stones’.

Lugano
Quite often I had chance to visit Lugano and its mountain, in the south of Switzerland, in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, which borders Italy.
Lugano is surrounded by Alps, the homonym lake is 48.7 sq. Km, the town itself is just a bunch of Banks but as soon as you get out from city nice alpine landscapes and images are all over.
