I have done my main photo works during my travels in Southeast Asia where I have discovered what I was always looking for inside my mind, images inside myself.
At the beginning the cultural shock, starting with the language, was huge and my instinct for reportage pictures guided me through this experience thrue the photography.
The photos have been shot traveling in Southeast Asia's several countries, first Thailand, then Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia.
It was probably the green rice fields of Southeast Asia, the green mountains, people’s smiles, big monsoon clouds, dusty roads, hard raining, spectacular tropical sea view, noisy motorbikes, who knows, but after the shock I was at home.
Southeast Asia was my real home.
I can't explain rationally why, I just felt that I was in the right place, simply it was stronger then me, since always I have got two things inside me: the sea and the love for an Asian lady, I don't know why, but I know that is right.
Following my will and my fait I started to travel in Southeast Asia often trying to spend there as much time as possible accordingly with my job and my vacations.
My photos research, my willing for images, for amazing pictures was pushed by Southeast Asia itself to a next step; to a next level where I got myself without even realize that I was not anymore a beginner.
Looking for new tools to fix what my eyes and mind were creating I started to be serious in photography in what before was just a hobby.
In 2003 I got the chance to find a work in Southeast Asia so in February 2003 I moved in Thailand where I spent 5 years creating images and pictures of my life.
It was not just dream as someone can imagine, regretfully life is a little bit more complicated then a nice book, but a life with a dream is the only one worth to be lived for.
The images have been realized starting from original prints using a scanner HP.
All photos have been saved as JPG files 1500 x 1000 pixels and displayed in auto resizable way online using Shadowbox JavaScript.
The quality is the best possible accordingly with the image sizes and the connection speed limitations.
